Job Description

CHDI oversees a portfolio of projects aimed at understanding the natural progression of Huntington’s disease, developing the best biomarkers and endpoints for use in clinical trials, and working with external partners to develop and execute clinical development plans for novel therapeutics. CHDI employees collaborate closely with a diverse array of partners to help manage this portfolio, including academic institutions, consultants, government agencies, CROs, biotech and pharmaceutical companies.

 

We are seeking a highly motivated, service oriented and organized individual with an interest and background in information technology to assist in supporting CHDI’s staff and IT infrastructure. This detail-oriented individual will work closely with CHDI’s Director of IT, scientists, service providers, and external collaborators, to help support IT solutions that enable CHDI scientists to effectively achieve their goals.  This individual will provide hands on support and guidance to users both internal and external collaborators, based on their extensive and detailed knowledge of the IT solutions.

 

Additionally, the successful candidate will assist the existing team of on-site IT engineers, and employees from other CHDI offices remotely.

Job Responsibilities

  • Work with CHDI’s IT vendors to insure best possible service levels, security and pricing for all areas including: voice, video, ISP, on-site technical support, website developers, NOC team, phone providers, and IT equipment suppliers.
  • Work closely with CHDI employees to help develop and implement strategies to increase their overall productivity, ensure IT systems adoption and provide end-user training and support.
  • Support CHDI’s collaborators to allow them to more easily and effectively collaborate with CHDI using IT solutions.
  • Assist with design, implementation and support of projects that utilize IT infrastructure.
  • Investigate new technologies that could enhance CHDI’s security and productivity toward achieving its mission and goals.
  • Assist in the development, maintenance, and implementation of CHDI’s IT SOPs.
  • Monitor, administer, and support CHDI IT systems.
  • Work closely with CHDI management to plan, manage and implement IT projects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, appropriate industry certifications or minimum of 5 years equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to effectively work in a team setting
  • Strong organizational, time management and multitasking skills
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills including the ability to communicate between technical and non-technical personnel.
  • Candidate must be able to work unsupervised; ability to prioritize tasks; be logical, organized and work well with others in a stressful end-user support environment.
  • Candidate must be able to manage under tight timelines and effectively communicate project status.
  • Highly detail oriented with the ability to simultaneously track multiple projects
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Ability to work independently and proactively with all levels of the organization
  • Hands on experience with SharePoint online, Cisco networking equipment, Cisco call manager, telepresence, WebEx, and Jabber applications.
  • Certifications in AWS, Azure, VMWare, Cisco networking, Cisco call manager and video conferencing a plus
  • Experience in administering SharePoint online a plus
